Active Earth brings together three practitioners whose work is rooted in food, land and everyday creative practice. This conversation focuses on food, fermentation, growing and traditional knowledge systems. The speakers share how their work with land, materials and teaching informs the way they live and work and how these practices can support more sustainable and attentive relationships with the worlds we inhabit.
Pamela EA is a documentary photographer and environmental storyteller from Mexico whose work focuses on climate justice and gender equality. She documents community-led land stewardship, regenerative practices and environmental research, working closely with local knowledge holders and scientists. Hannah Fletcher is a visual artist working with analogue photography and material processes. Her practice explores the environmental impact of photographic production and develops low-toxicity, sustainable methods. She is the founder of The Sustainable Darkroom and co-director of the London Alternative Photography Collective.
