Creative Companions:
A year long group for creative connection and collaboration
A space for creatives to feel supported and held as they seed ideas and tend to their practice.
As a creative, you can find yourself isolated, solitary most days, willing your creativity into being, not sure if the way you are going is the right way, where is the right way? You wonder and even though the inspiration you draw from Land, Sea and Sky is potent, sometimes you need a different space or way of seeking connections.
Somewhere, you can be as true as you are when immersed in Nature, with other beings who understand the messy and joyous life of a creative. A gathering of companions, much like a garden, where needs are tended to, support and care are given, without question, and everyone has a companion to grow with.
Suitable for new, upcoming or developed practices.

About Sam
Sam Osbiston is a writer, visual artist, and practitioner of wild attention, originally from North Wales, where her childhood explorations of the rugged landscapes, blessed with waterfalls, Adder, and Red Squirrel, fostered a deep connection with and love of the more-than-human world. Since 2008, she has lived in Wiltshire, where the chalky terrain and broad plains present a stark contrast to the lush and snow-capped mountains of home.
In co-creation with her Wild Garden, she tends to its edges as the Garden whispers ancient wisdoms and gifts treasures from Soil to Soul. A sanctuary and a teacher, the Garden nourishes the deepening of Sam's earth-rooted practices, enriching the use of materials and the sustainability of her interaction with work and life.
Exploring the interplay of Self, Imagination, and Nature, she alchemises the shared pain, joy and resilience into a rich tapestry of poetry that speaks to the urgent need for our re-connection, re-relationship and remembrance to the more-than-human world.
Sam's writing and photography have been featured in various print and online publications. She has contributed to & Women of Spirit; an anthology of stories by women who have overcome adversity, published by Silverwood Press.
Sam has had the honour of holding space to inspire learning, nurture courage and facilitate growth across diverse environments, including early years and tertiary education, local and online communities, and corporate settings for more than 25 years.
Whether she is capturing the golden hush of evening light, tending to tangled garden beds, holding space or shaping words into something that resonates, her aim is the same: to listen deeply, to wonder and to invite a more connected way of being.
